This bill would exempt beverage distributors from making redemption payments for filled containers containing certain beverages that are donated to a California-exempt organization. The exemption applies to donations of noncarbonated water, carbonated and noncarbonated fruit drinks, and vegetable juice. The distributor must maintain records of the donations. This change would not require state reimbursement for a specified reason.
