AB 1928: Sex equity: sexual harassment complaints.

This bill aims to improve the handling of sexual harassment complaints in postsecondary institutions by requiring grievance procedures that allow both parties to have a support person and an adviser accompany them throughout the process. Existing law requires the prompt and equitable resolution of such complaints, but this bill updates the procedures to include additional support for students. The bill imposes a new duty on community college districts and would require reimbursement from the state if the costs are deemed mandated.
