AB 2197: School employees: solicitation: financial services or products.
This bill aims to protect school employees from unsolicited financial services or products on school grounds. It prohibits representatives from soliciting school employees without following security measures and providing evidence of their business and license status. The bill also requires verbal and written disclosures at the beginning and end of each solicitation, and prohibits the use of graphics or uniforms that could create the impression of affiliation with a different business or agency. Furthermore, electronic mail solicitations must include specific words to avoid misleading employees.
