<p>The bill requires the California Department of Health Care Services to assess whether private duty nursing services under the Medi-Cal Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment (EPSDT) program comply with federal Medicaid requirements. The assessment must compare authorized EPSDT private duty nursing hours to those actually provided and determine if reimbursement rates are adequate for all authorized hours to be delivered. Additionally, the department is required to submit a report on these findings to the legislature by March 1, 2027.</p>
