AB 2519: State Teachers’ Retirement System: positions subject to membership.

<blockquote> <p>The bill amends California's Education Code by expanding the definition of "position subject to membership" in the State Teachers' Retirement System (STRS). It includes positions held by permit holders at county offices of education and school districts, as well as comparable roles at charter schools eligible for state funding. The new provisions become effective on July 1, 2027. Additionally, the bill removes the requirement for STRS to post an implementation date online and makes an appropriation to the Teachers' Retirement Fund.</p> </blockquote>
