AB 2660: Public postsecondary education: intersegmental partnerships: STEM education.
The bill aims to create an intersegmental partnership program between the California community colleges, the California state university, and the university of California to promote the advancement of undergraduate public postsecondary students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines. The program, called Cal-Bridge, has five subprograms that provide resources, research opportunities, and financial support to qualifying students, researchers, and professionals. These subprograms will prepare students to apply to PhD programs in STEM disciplines and become members of the professorate or leaders in the technology industry.
