The bill requires school districts to provide comprehensive sexual health education and HIV prevention education to pupils in grades 7 to 12. The education can be provided earlier than grade 7 with age-appropriate and medically accurate information. The district can also hire outside consultants to teach the education, and must provide notice of the date of instruction, the name of the consultant, and the right of parents to request a copy of relevant laws.
