This bill amends the Public Contract Code to extend the use of the best value procurement method for public projects exceeding $1,000,000 in certain school districts. The Los Angeles Unified School District is allowed to use this method until further notice. Additionally, other school districts can use this method until December 31, 2030, with a reporting requirement to the legislature by January 1, 2030. The bill repeals the original reporting requirement and deadline for the Los Angeles Unified School District on January 1, 2026.
