What AB 496 does, verified February 3, 2026

This bill requires the Legislative Analyst's Office to prepare and submit a report to the legislature every year, starting in 2027, to evaluate the quality of services provided by the Department of Employment and Workforce Development for unemployment and disability insurance. The report will assess the services provided to the public. The bill also repeals these provisions on January 1, 2031.
