AB 520: Homelessness and mental health: state funding information.
The bill aims to improve transparency in state funding for homelessness prevention and mental health services. It requires the state to create an online search portal that contains information about funding amounts and program details for the past 10 years. The portal will include data on the state program that received the funds, the department or agency that administers the program, and the current fiscal year's funding. The portal will be developed and maintained by the state controller in collaboration with the state department of health care services and the california interagency council on homelessness. The portal will be accessible on the state controller's website, the department's website, and the council's website.
