This bill amends the child abuse and neglect reporting act to add individuals employed as talent agents, managers, or coaches who provide services to minors to the list of mandated reporters. Mandated reporters are required to report whenever they have knowledge or observe a child who has been the victim of child abuse or neglect. Failure to report is a misdemeanor punishable by up to 6 months in jail, a $1,000 fine, or both. The bill also includes changes to the penal code proposed by other bills, and it requires no reimbursement for certain costs.
