AB 720: Beverages: alcohol permits: container labeling.

This bill aims to amend existing laws related to beverages in California. It would specify that wine and brandy manufacturers can store and age their products away from their licensed premises, and can engage in sales for off-premises consumption, as long as one of the licenses is a master license and the other is a branch license. Additionally, it would authorize a licensed winegrower to apply for an estate tasting event permit, which would allow them to exercise their tasting room privileges for wine manufactured by or for the winegrower at specified locations. The bill would also modify labeling requirements for beverage containers, allowing manufacturers to etch required redemption value messages on containers instead of printing or embossing them. Furthermore, the bill would extend an exemption for certain beverage containers from labeling requirements until July 1, 2026.
