AB 75: Residential property insurance images.
What AB 75 does, verified December 6, 2025
The bill requires admitted insurers to notify policyholders when aerial images of their property may be taken or obtained, unless a claim is pending. Insurers must provide instructions on how to request the images and prohibit terminating coverage based solely on an aerial image taken more than 180 days prior to notifying the policyholder. Insurers must provide the image, a notice of termination, and an opportunity to dispute the image's accuracy before terminating coverage. This provision becomes effective on July 1, 2026.
