This bill amends a section of the government code to change the timing of when the controller notifies a local agency or school district of any adjustments to a reimbursement claim resulting from an audit or review. The controller must now notify the claimant in writing within 30 days of the adjustment. Additionally, the bill allows the local agency or school district to offset any reduced reimbursement or remit funds to the controller at their discretion.
