<p>The proposed constitutional amendment would require the members of the University of California's board of regents to appoint at least two student members for each regular academic term. These student members would serve on the board for a minimum of one year and participate in all board activities. In addition, the board would be required to appoint one non-voting student regent-designate, which would be an undergraduate student and one non-voting student regent-designate, which would be a graduate or professional student, to serve in the year preceding their term as a board member.</p>
