SB 1254: Local government: land use: general plans.
What SB 1254 does, verified March 5, 2026
This bill amends existing law regarding local government land use. It requires each planning agency to prepare a comprehensive, long-term general plan for the physical development of the area. The legislative body of each county and city must adopt this plan. The bill makes nonsubstantive changes to these provisions, essentially updating the existing requirements without introducing new ones.
