SB 1328: Public postsecondary education: Equity in Higher Education Act: campus contact.
<p>The Equity in Higher Education Act aims to ensure equal rights and opportunities for all individuals regardless of gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, or other specified characteristics within California's public postsecondary education institutions. The act requires the trustees of the California State University and governing boards of community college districts to designate an employee at each campus as a point of contact for supporting LGBTQIA+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, asexual, pansexual, transgender, gender-nonconforming, intersex, and two-spirit) faculty, staff, and students.
