This bill requires the Department of General Services to contract with the University of California, Los Angeles Labor Center to conduct a study on the impact of artificial intelligence on worker well-being, job quality, job types, different populations, and state revenues. The department must submit a report of the study's findings to the legislature by June 1, 2027. After submitting the report, the provisions of the bill will be repealed.
