The bill aims to amend the insurance code to increase late filing fees for insurers. Currently, admitted insurers that fail to file required financial statements are subject to a late filing fee of $705, with an additional $849 fee for each month or part thereof they continue to transact insurance without filing. The bill would increase these fees to $800 and $900, respectively.
