SB 775: Board of Psychology and Board of Behavioral Sciences.
This bill aims to amend and update the California law regulating the practice of psychology and behavioral sciences. The board of psychology and the board of behavioral sciences will continue to operate until January 1, 2030. To practice psychology, out-of-state licensees must inform clients of their limited timeframe and be licensed in the state. The board will also expand the list of authorized areas of study for registration as a psychological testing technician. The bill revises provisions related to suspended, revoked, and surrendered licenses, and makes various technical changes. It also expands the list of acts constituting unprofessional conduct that can lead to suspension or revocation of registration for research psychoanalysts and student research psychoanalysts.
