This bill amends the existing law to allow for remote court appearances until January 31, 2029. It extends the provisions that currently permit a party to appear remotely and a court to conduct conferences, hearings, proceedings, and trials in civil cases, in whole or in part, through the use of remote technology. Additionally, non-party witnesses will also be allowed to appear remotely under these provisions.
