AB 1400: Community colleges: Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing Pilot Program.
This bill introduces a baccalaureate degree in nursing pilot program that will allow select community college districts to offer a bachelor of science in nursing degree. The program will be limited to 10 districts statewide and will require the participating districts to give priority registration to students with an associate degree in nursing from that district. The program's effectiveness will be evaluated by the legislative analyst's office, and the results will be submitted to the legislature by July 1, 2033. The program will be repealed on January 1, 2035.
