AB 1418: Department of Health Care Access and Information.
What AB 1418 does, verified December 6, 2025
This bill requires health facilities, clinics, home health agencies, and hospices to report on their employee health insurance eligibility. Employees must be eligible for health insurance coverage without a waiting period at the start of employment. If a waiting period applies, the entities must report the length of the waiting period for all eligible employees and for different classifications of employees, if applicable. The information will be integrated with existing reports and posted on the department's website annually.
