This bill aims to improve the transition process for juvenile court school pupils by requiring a school district to assign a staff member to serve as the district point person for transition liaison responsibilities. The district must notify the county office of education and the county probation department of the member's name and contact information. The bill also requires the school district to collaborate with the county office of education transition oversight personnel throughout the year to ensure the completion of transition activities. Additionally, the county office of education must make available the pupil's individualized learning plan to the school district's transition liaison personnel.
