AB 2220: School districts: auxiliary organizations.
This bill allows school districts to establish auxiliary organizations to provide supportive services and specialized programs for schoolsites. These organizations must be defined by the state department of education and operate within the educational mission of the school district. The district must establish an accounting and reporting system for the auxiliary organization and follow specific procedures to ensure transactions are within the educational mission. This will enable schools to provide more services and programs to benefit students and the community.
