AB 2551: Equity in Higher Education Act: time, place, and manner policies: student code of conduct violations: open forum.

This bill requires health care service plans and health insurers to conduct an annual survey to assess the number and prevalence of enrollees or insureds seeking out-of-network behavioral health care services. The survey will collect data on total expenditures paid out-of-pocket for out-of-network and in-network behavioral health care services and the reasons for seeking out-of-network services. The survey will be optional for enrollees or insureds and must be reported to the relevant departments on or before May 1, 2028, and annually thereafter. The bill also requires certain boards to collect workforce data from their licensees and registrants, including whether they are contracted providers and the types of health care coverage under which contracted services are provided.
