What AB 300 does, verified December 7, 2025

The state fire marshal is required to review moderate, high, and very high fire hazard severity zones at least once every 5 years. The fire marshal must also review lands within state responsibility areas classified as fire hazard severity zones. Additionally, the fire marshal will re-review areas within the state that are not identified as moderate, high, and very high fire hazard severity zones, and re-review lands within state responsibility areas that are not classified as fire hazard severity zones. If necessary, the fire marshal will identify or classify these areas.
