AB 943: Insurance agents: prelicensing education.

This bill would eliminate the requirement for new applicants to complete 20 hours of prelicensing study before qualifying for a license. Instead, it would require a fee associated with the 12-hour ethics course certification. The bill also makes conforming changes to other sections of the insurance code. Additionally, the bill incorporates changes proposed by another bill to be operative only if both bills are enacted, with the current bill being enacted last.
