ABX 110: State government: emergency services: nonprofit service providers.
This bill allows a nonprofit entity that provides services under a contract with a state agency to modify its service delivery method during a state of emergency or war emergency, as long as the contract's purpose is served. The nonprofit entity must notify state agencies of any closure or impacted program and document its expenditures to justify continued state funding. State agencies must ensure funding is available to pay for canceled services or reduced service levels. In non-emergency situations, the nonprofit entity can request flexibility with respect to services and funding under its contract. The state agency can approve the request if it determines it is reasonable under the circumstances.
