This bill amends existing laws regarding pupil attendance, specifically interdistrict transfers. It requires school districts to adopt and post a policy on their website that includes specified provisions for interdistrict transfers. If a response is not issued within 30 calendar days, the request will be deemed approved for release. The bill also requires all new interdistrict agreements to include these specified provisions. Additionally, parents or guardians can submit interdistrict transfer requests concurrently to the school district of residence and the school district of proposed agreement.
