This bill establishes a recorder notification program for counties in the state, requiring county recorders to notify parties executing documents such as deeds, quitclaims, and trusts within 30 days of recordation. The program also allows for electronic notification and creates an exemption for state or local government as the grantee. A fee may be collected from the party filing the document to cover the costs of services. The bill also creates an exception for the Los Angeles County recorder notification program. If the commission on state mandates determines that the bill contains costs mandated by the state, reimbursement for those costs will be made.
