AB 1203: Water conservation: water wise designation.
<p>The bill aims to promote water conservation in California's commercial, industrial, and institutional (CII) sector. It requires the Department of Water Resources and the State Water Resources Control Board to adopt long-term standards for efficient water use and performance measures for CII water use. The bill also establishes a statewide "water wise" designation to be awarded to businesses in the CII sector that meet or exceed the recommended best management practices for water use.</p> <p>The "water wise" designation will be part of the Save Our Water campaign, which aims to encourage water conservation among Californians.
