AB 1369: Pupil rights: school graduation ceremonies and related events: adornments.

The bill aims to extend a pupil's authorization to wear traditional tribal regalia or recognized objects of religious or cultural significance at school events related to graduation. A pupil's decision on what constitutes traditional regalia or recognized objects is to be determined by the pupil and their family. Local educational agencies cannot require a preapproval process for a pupil to wear an adornment and cannot prohibit a pupil from wearing a cap if the cap is incompatible with the adornment. The definition of "adornment" is revised to include something attached to, worn with, or worn in place of the cap, rather than something attached to or worn with the cap.
