What AB 2291 does, verified April 10, 2026

The state department of education will conduct a study on nonconsensual artificial intimate images involving pupils in kindergarten and grades 1 to 12. The study will include resources for schools and the effects of these images on pupils. The study is required to be completed and submitted to the legislature by January 1, 2028. The provisions of the study will be repealed on January 1, 2032.
