AB 2482: School districts: reorganization.
What AB 2482 does, verified February 24, 2026
An action to reorganize one or more school districts is initiated when a petition is filed with the county superintendent of schools signed by at least one of four specified groups. This action can result in either forming a new school district or transferring territory, including part of an existing district, to another existing district. The bill proposes making nonsubstantive changes to the definition of an "action to reorganize districts".
