This bill extends the deadline for a workgroup on credentialing for instruction in computer science by two years, from July 1, 2025, to July 1, 2027. The bill also delays the repeal date of the provisions related to this workgroup by two years, from January 1, 2028, to January 1, 2030. This will allow the commission on teacher credentialing to continue to establish standards for the issuance and renewal of credentials, certificates, and permits for computer science instruction.
